Madge Wireless PCI 802.11b adapter provides secure connectivity for
PCI Desktops for enterprise class customers. Optimum security is
available when the Wireless adapters are used in conjunction
with the comprehensive security services of the Wireless Enterprise
Access Server. Madge has defined the standards-compliant Madge
Security Model to assist in the planning and implementation of
Wireless security. The PCI unit should be used in conjunction with
the Wireless PCMCIA 802.11b adapter
(95-31).
To support the increasing use of Wireless LANs, the
Madge adapters feature broad Operating System support to allow single
adapter use
over a range of applications. The Wireless adapters are standards-based
to ensure interoperability with other standards compliant 802.11b
networks.
